The challenge
The supplier sells branch-automation equipment - check scanners, printers, consumables - to financial institutions that buy across many branches and expect a self-service portal tied to real back-office data: their orders, invoices, payments, shipments, and projects, all live and accurate. That means the storefront has to be wired directly into the ERP, not a disconnected catalog.
Buy across branches
Financial institutions purchase across many branches and need structure that reflects it.
Live back-office data
Buyers expect their orders, invoices, payments, shipments and projects to be live and accurate.
Wired into the ERP
The storefront has to connect directly to the ERP, not sit beside a disconnected catalog.
What we built
A custom "ActiveHub" B2B platform on BigCommerce, deeply integrated with Acumatica ERP - each capability answering a specific operational stake above.
- ◆FI account structureCompany, FI group, region, and facility hierarchy with role-based permissions and price lists.
- ◆Two-way Acumatica syncCustomers, contacts, sales orders, invoices, payments, shipments, and projects kept in step between the portal and the ERP.
- ◆Full self-serviceQuotes (create, edit, email PDF, convert to cart), order history, invoice payment, shipment tracking (UPS/SEKO/TForce), product purchase history, and project/task views.
- ◆Support toolingUser impersonation, "people to notify," broadcast notices, and dashboards with sales and order analytics.
Results
Financial-institution customers self-serve orders, invoices, payments, shipments, and projects against live Acumatica data - and this became the reference build that proved the ActiveHub + Acumatica pattern.
"Orders, invoices, payments and shipments flow straight into Acumatica - no re-keying, no reconciliation headaches. The portal and the ERP behave like one system."

Why it matters
This is B2B commerce fused to the ERP - the hard part most stores skip. It shows Silex can make the storefront and the back office behave as one system, for buyers who won't tolerate stale data.
